The Quang Da Tet Culinary Culture Festival is taking place at a public space northeast of Da Nang’s Han River Bridge from February 2 - 17.

The event was jointly organised by the Quang Nam Culinary Culture Association, the Da Nang Culinary Culture Association and the Son Tra District People's Committee.

Its purpose is to develop cuisine into a unique tourism product in the city during the 2023-2030 period, and building the Son Tra culinary tourism brand, thereby attracting more domestic and international tourists to the district and the city as a whole.

The festival features more than 50 booths displaying, introducing, demonstrating and experiencing unique culinary culture.

Also, there are such fascinating activities as an art performance programme entitled "Youth"; ‘Ao dai’ and Quang noodles fashion shows; a singing contest for Da Nang school pupils; a cooking contest; and others.

The abovementioned activities see the participation of many units and localities in the city, Quang Nam, Thua Thien Hue and Can Tho.

Delivering his speech at the opening ceremony of the two festivals, Vice Chairman of Son Tra District People's Committee Huynh Van Hung expressed his expectation that the festival will contribute to enhancing the quality of traditional dishes, as well as facilitate participating units to promote their brands and improve the quality of their services, thereby promoting the local tourism development.

Meanwhile, the Son Tra Spring Flower Festival is held here during the same period.
