The Brazil - Viet Nam Football Festival 2024 will take place in Da Nang on April 27 and 28, as announced at a press conference held in the city on Thursday.

The festival aimed at celebrating the 35^th anniversary of the Viet Nam-Brazil diplomatic ties, and boosting connections in sports, tourism, and business between the city and Brazil.

Notably, Brazilian football legends including Dunga, Rivaldo, Lucio, Edmilson, Kleber, Giovani, Zé Carlos, and Paulo Sergio will land in Da Nang for the forthcoming festival.

The legends will play a friendly match with Vietnamese football stars on the afternoon of April 27 at the 20,000-seat Hoa Xuan Stadium.

Also, there will be U9-U11-U13-U15 international youth football tournaments at the Tuyen Son Sports Village; a special music programme at the Hoa Xuan Stadium with top Vietnamese singers and artistes such as My Tam, Hoang Bach and Hoang Rapper; a beach festival; and a gala dinner.

A centre called the Brazil Football Academy is planned to debut in the city as part of the festival.
