Da Nang to host first-ever Viet Nam - ASEAN festival
The Da Nang People's Committee has just agreed to the policy of organising the Viet Nam - Japan Festival in July 2024 and the Viet Nam - Korea festival and Viet Nam - ASEAN festival in August 2024. Accordingly, the first Viet Nam - ASEAN festival to be held in Da Nang is expected to take place on August 3 and 4.
The event aims to promote the image and culture of Viet Nam and other ASEAN countries to local residents and tourists with main activities such as exhibitions introducing information, culture, typical products of Viet Nam and other ASEAN countries; culinary festivals of ASEAN countries; a workshop to promote cooperation between Da Nang and ASEAN partners.
In addition, the festival also has a sports exchange programme, the recreating typical festivals of ASEAN countries and a Viet Nam - ASEAN art programme.
The 9th Viet Nam - Japan Festival in Da Nang will take place from July 4 to 7 whilst the 3rd Viet Nam - Korea Festival in Da Nang will take place from August 16 to 18. These are festivals organized annually by the city to create conditions for local residents and tourists to learn about experiences and cultural exchanges, contributing to tightening the Viet Nam - Japan and Viet Nam - Korea friendship relationship, and between Da Nang with Japanese and Korean localities in particular.
