More than 1,200 runners respond to "Million steps of kindness" campaign
On Sunday, the Da Nang Red Cross Society in partnership with the municipal Youth Union and FPT Da Nang primary, junior and senior high schools to organise a programme to respond to the "Million Steps of Kindness" campaign.

The campaign named “Million steps of kindness” has been launched by the Viet Nam Red Cross Society and the Viet Nam Youth Federation to call on the community to engage in physical activities to raise donations to the needy.
The fundraising campaign will last for 56 days from February 25 to April 22. It aims to attract 70,000 people to walking and jogging for a total of 700,000km and record their results via the app of V-Race.
The event also looks to raise VND7 billion (US$284,000) in donations to build seven kitchens for semi-boarding students in mountainous areas, assist 70 low-income families to develop sustainable livelihoods, provide essential goods for 700 disadvantaged households, give nutritional advice and assistance to 7,000 children from poor families, and offer free health examination and treatment to 7,000 people in disadvantaged circumstances in the northern mountainous provinces of Dien Bien, Son La, and Thai Nguyen
After more than 1 month of launching, the "Million Steps of Kindness" campaign has attracted nearly 58,000 participants from the sports-loving community at home and abroad with a total contribution of more than VND5.3 billion.
In Da Nang, since February 25, more than 1,200 people have participated in the campaign with a recorded distance of nearly 20,000 km, contributing VND100 million.
