The Da Nang Book Fair 2024 themed "Good books need readers" is taking place at a public park at the eastern end of the Dragon Bridge on Tran Hung Dao Street from May 23 - 26.

Co-organised by the Da Nang Department of Information and Communications, and the Son Tra District People's Committee, this year’s fair features 28 booths of 8 book publishing and distribution units, and 7 wards in Son Tra District.

On display at the booths are many good, newly released books, along with a variety of school equipment and stationery.

Coming to the book fair, readers can also participate in many diverse activities such as multimedia mobile library vehicles, skill training games, a golden bell ringing contest, and an exhibition of paintings and photographs by artists, photographers and students.

Moreover, there are a festival for dance groups, bookmark drawing activities, a book presentation contest, and a book-based storytelling contest for primary school pupils in Son Tra District.

Within the framework of the festival, officials, people and readers can also contribute to sharing knowledge through donating books and cultural products with the "Community Bookshelf" model.

Donated books will be given to school libraries, reading rooms, and public bookcases in Son Tra District.
