Free screenings of historical films marking Dien Bien Phu Victory open in Da Nang
A documentary film screening programme to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - 2024) opened at Da Nang’s Le Do Cinema on Monday evening by the municipal Youth Union and the city’s Cultural and Cinema Centre.

Accordingly, the film ‘Hoa Ban Do’ was screened for the public free of charge at the cinema. Directed by Bach Diep, the war-themed film was first released in 1994 on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.
Meanwhile, the film ‘Song Cung Lich Su’ (Living with History) will be screened at the cinema this evening, May 7. The film was directed by People's Artist Nguyen Thanh Van and produced by the Viet Nam Feature Film Studio in 2014 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.
The film screening programme aims to bridge the audience with the nation's history, so that young generations are always grateful for, pay tribute to, and take pride in the country’s historic achievements and current position.
