Nearly 2,000 athletes compete at the VinFast IRONMAN 70.3 Vietnam 2024
The VinFast IRONMAN 70.3 Vietnam 2024, the largest triathlon race in the country, officially took place in Da Nang on Sunday morning, attracting nearly 2,000 athletes from 52 countries around the world.

The event was co-organized by the Sunrise Events Vietnam in collaboration with the municipal Department of Culture and Sports.
This is the fourth time that the sporting event has been held in Da Nang. The much-awaited race brought many emotions to contestants and fans as well.
Participating athletes challenged in the men’s and women’s 1.9km swim, 90km bike and 21km run.
In particular, the swimming competition was held at the Son Thuy Beach in Ngu Hanh Son District, whilst contestants in the cycling competition followed roads along the Son Thuy Beach and resorts in the city.
After that, athletes ran through some important milestones and finished at the Son Thuy Beach.
At the end of the competition, top 34 athletes with the best results had qualifying slots to attend the 2024 VinFast IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship slated on December 14 and 15 in Taupō, New Zealand. In addition, the top 5 female athletes in each age group category won tickets to the IRONMA2024 world championship in France.
