An art programme entitled "Meeting Han River" was held in Da Nang on Friday evening to celebrate the National Day (September 2) and the Viet Nam Music Day (September 3).

The event was jointly organised by the municipal Youth Union, the Children's Palace, the Music Association and the Youth Federation.

It featured 13 elaborately staged art performances of various genres with the participation of many artistes, actors and children.

In addition to the singing and dancing performances about the land and people of Da Nang and Quang Nam Province, the programme brought to the audience many performances of ensembles, solo performances of traditional musical instruments, drum and trumpet ensembles, and unique Cham dances.

It also featured performances by guest music bands from Ha Noi, Hue and Binh Dinh with a number of foreign songs and modern musical instruments, creating a vibrant and melodious atmosphere and taking the audience through many emotional levels.

The programme aimed to improve the cultural and spiritual life of the people, and at the same time, created opportunities for exchange and artistic performances among music lovers across the country.
