Indian golfer Rahil Gangjee won the BRG Open Golf Championship-Da Nang 2024 with a score of 10-under-par.

The Indian took the cash-prize of US$17,500 and the unique Chu Dau ceramic champions trophy fused with the 600-year cultural heritage of Viet Nam.

This year’s tournament saw the participation of 19 Vietnamese golfers participating in the tournament, of which 4 representatives successfully passed the cut: Nguyen Tuan Anh, Truong Chi Quan, Nguyen Huu Quyet and Doan Uy. Of which, Nguyen Tuan Anh won best Amateur after finishing 11^th place on the ranking.

In his remarks at the closing and awards ceremony on Saturday, Mr. Tran Chi Cuong, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee, said this was the third edition of the BRG Open Golf Championship Danang. So far, the tournament has been successful and met the expectations and wishes of the organising board in attracting golfers from countries around the world, and creating a good effect for this year's tournament.

Every year, the scale and organisation method were better, creating an attractiveness for participants. The city expected that after this golf tournament, the city will welcome an increasing number of golf tourists in the coming time.

Mr. Ken Kudo, General Director of the Asian Golf Development Tournament, emphasised that the third edition of the BRG Open Golf Championship Danang has successfully ended with the new champion - Rahil Gangjee. This event has created a special mark for the Asian Tour on the path of expanding and developing professional golf tournaments in the region.

He affirmed that Da Nang boasted many world-class golf courses with high-class infrastructure and tourism services, bringing wonderful experiences to Vietnamese and international golfers.

It is known that 2024 is the 3^rd consecutive year that Da Nang has hosted the BRG Open Golf Championship, contributing to affirming Da Nang’s position as "Asia's leading event and festival destination". This is an important milestone in promoting the city's golf tourism potential, and making Da Nang one of the leading golf tourism destination in Asia and the world, thereby contributing to fostering the development of high-quality tourism in line with the city's tourism development orientation.
