The Da Nang Golf Association held a ceremony on Saturday to commend Da Nang men's and women's golf teams for their good performance at the Central Highlands - Central Region Golf Championship for the Ping Cup in 2024.

The tournament took place in Nghe An Province with the participation of 11 golf associations: Nghe An, Quang Ngai, Ha Tinh, Thanh Hoa, Quang Binh, Gia Lai, Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa), Binh Dinh, Kon Tum, Thua Thien Hue and Da Nang.

Da Nang’s golfers competed in the tournament with strong determination and effort and won 2 silver medals in the men's and women's categories. With this achievement, the Da Nang golf team earned two slots to participate in the 2025 National Golf Championship.

This is the second time that the Da Nang golf team has had two men's and women's teams ranked in the top two teams at the tournament. Previously, at the 2022 Central Highlands - Central Region Golf Championship, the Da Nang men's and women's golf teams won the first prize.

According to Mr. Dam Quang Tuan, Chairman of the Da Nang Golf Association, the achievements of the Da Nang men's and women's golf teams have contributed to promoting the development of the golf movement in the city.

The association will create the best conditions for the local golfers to participate in the 2025 National Golf Championship which is a good opportunity for them to exchange and compete professionally with strong rivals nationwide.
