With its picturesque landscapes and friendly, hospitable people, Da Nang has long been a source of inspiration for artists across the country. At the Literature and Arts (L&A) Creative Camp, being held in Da Nang from 21 - 28 September, many young artists brought their ambitions and plans for new works.

Poet Truong Cong Tuong (born in 1990), a member of the Literature and Arts Association of Binh Dinh Province and the Viet Nam Writers' Association, has participated in several creative camps nationwide. However, Da Nang has left a particularly strong impression on him, thanks to the friendliness of local people and dynamic growth.

He shared his special affection for Quang Nam and Da Nang, describing it as a place that leaves a lasting impact due to its history, culture, and thriving tourism. He also noted that Quang Nam and Da Nang have been home to many notable literary figures who contributed to Viet Nam’s revolutionary literature.

"I believe many other artists have drawn significant creative inspiration from this land. With such a wealth of material, I am confident that this Creative Camp, covering various fields such as literature, fine arts, photography, music, and folk art, will produce remarkable works. These will help promote Da Nang and its people, both in terms of national defence and today’s socio-economic development. Personally, I will write poems and prose inspired by my love for this land," Mr. Tuong revealed.

For artist Nguyen Van Dat (born 1990), a member of the Literature and Arts Association of Quang Ngai Province, Da Nang brings a sense of novelty and peace.

“Although I’ve visited Da Nang many times, this is my first time attending a creative camp here. I’m thrilled to be learning from senior artists and connecting with others in the region. The city’s natural scenery, especially popular places like Linh Ung Pagoda and Marble Mountains, gives me a sense of tranquility. Additionally, Da Nang’s modern architecture, especially its stunning bridges, provides endless inspiration for my work” Mr. Dat shared.

He hopes this trip will result in captivating pieces of artworks reflecting both the landscapes and the daily life of the people, and showcasing the transformation of this dynamic yet deeply human city.

Photographer Vo Van Phi Long (born in 1990), a member of the Literature and Arts Association of Quang Nam Province, was born and raised in the province, so Da Nang is quite familiar to him. Nevertheless, this creative camp is an opportunity to engage with artists from various fields and exchange perspectives on arts and literature. Mr. Long believes this gathering will spark fresh emotions in his photography, inspired by the everyday scenes he encounters.

The camp provides young artists with a chance to immerse themselves in the local lifestyle and interact with one another, gaining new experiences and ideas. This inspiration will undoubtedly fuel the creation of valuable artistic works.
