Nearly 200 foreign coaches gather in Da Nang for ITF Regional Coaches Conference

As many as 200 tennis coaches have gathered in Da Nang to take part in the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Regional Coaches Conference that Viet Nam has hosted for the first time in history.

The event features around 200 coaches from 27 countries such as India, Malaysia, the Philippines, Brunei, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, along with 15 leading international speakers from 11 countries.

These coaches, who are important teachers in training young tennis stars in the future, come from 27 countries worldwide such as India, Malaysia, the Philippines, Brunei, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.

Also, 15 leading international speakers from 11 countries and units such as Dario Novak (Croatia), Simone Bertino (Italy), David Taylor and Annabel Taylor (Australia), and Riaan Kruger and Jonathan Stubbs (ITF) are attending the event.

The coaches interact directly with the guests with the support of interpreters, and receive certificates from the ITF.

Different discussion sessions focus on important issues in tennis, including technical and tactical developments.

The speakers talk about the application of advanced technology in training as well as psychological methods applied during training and competition.

According to organisers, the conference is an opportunity for coaches to exchange and improve their skills while experts share experiences and update the latest coaching trends and knowledge.

The event also highlights the important role of international cooperation in professional training activities and the comprehensive development of tennis between countries. This, thereby, helps to improve the quality of training and developing this sport in Viet Nam, the South Asia, Southeast Asia, and East Asia regions.

The conference lasts until the end of September 29.
