The image of street vendors and their cries, a traditional cultural feature that always appears on street corners, in alleys, in front of houses, are being colourfully and vividly recreated in the art exhibition “Rong - Rao” (street vendors and their cries), which is running at 186 Phan Chau Trinh Street, Hai Chau District, from August 17 - September 8. The exhibition combines paintings, photos, videos, sounds and modern technology, creating a lively space for enjoying art, bringing visitors back to their childhood memories.
The familiar street vendors, associated with many people’s childhood memories, are recreated by ‘Da Nang Tui’’ (My Da Nang) project through words, images and sounds. |
When visiting the exhibition, visitors are carefully guided in detail by volunteers of ‘Da Nang Tui’ or explore on their own according to pre-numbered itineraries. |
With digital paintings, combined with augmented reality technology (AR), when placing the phone on the painting, visitors will see and hear the familiar, nostalgic sound of street vendors. |
The ‘Street eatery’ area uses 3D projection technology, treating visitors to such traditional cakes as ‘banh beo’, ‘banh nam’ filtered through images and sounds. |
Visitors can enjoy the food with their eyes while listening to the sharing of a street vendor owner about their work. The lively sound gives visitors the feeling of enjoying food on the street. |
The exhibition combines traditional art elements and modern technology, born after a year of preparation by young people who love art and appreciate the traditional cultural values of the country. |
At the moment storage box, visitors explore street vendors through an automatic flipbook model with new experiences. |
The emotional feelings are recorded by visitors in writing after finishing the ‘wandering’ journey at the exhibition. |
Not only attracting Vietnamese visitors, the exhibition also attracts foreign visitors who want to learn and explore Vietnamese culture. |
Foreign visitors experience weaving traditional Vietnamese mats, an activity within the framework of the exhibition. |
