The Da Nang Department of Tourism, on Monday, organised the “Lighting Up Christmas Tree” programme at the landscape floor on the western bank of the Dragon Bridge (opposite VTV8 building).

This is the opening activity for the series of festival activities to welcome the Danang X'mas - New Year Festival 2025.

The 20m-high Christmas tree is decorated with thousands of LED bulbs, modern light patterns, and traditional red and green Christmas balls.

At the programme, locals and tourists together counted down to light the tree, creating a memorable, emotional moment, and marking the beginning of the festival.

At the same time, they joined in the unique and vibrant art performances performed by children, singers, artists and dancers; as well as wrote wishes to send hopes for a peaceful, happy and lucky new year.

Along with the Christmas tree lighting, models of a unique giant gift box and the Da Nang New Year 2025 lettering set are ideal check-in spots for locals and tourists to capture memorable moments during the Christmas and New Year holidays.

Within the framework of the Danang X'mas - New Year Festival 2025, many special and attractive programmes and activities will be held across the city.

In particular, the opening of the Danang X'mas - New Year Festival 2025 is slated to be organised at 6:00 pm on December 20, 2024 at the north landscape floor of the eastern bank of the Dragon Bridge and the park at the eastern end of the Dragon Bridge.

A parade entitled "Fun with Santa Claus" with the participation of Miss International 2024 Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy will take place at 8:00 pm on December 20, 2024, from Bach Dang Walking Street to the Light Christmas Tree. A programme “Fun with Santa Claus” will be held at 8:00 pm on December 24, 2024 at the northern landscape floor at the eastern bank of the Dragon Bridge.

The Christmas Market to Welcome in New Year 2025 will be held from 5:00 pm - 10:30 pm daily between December 20, 2024 and January 2, 2025 at the public park at the eastern end of Dragon Bridge.

Additionally, there will be an entertainment and experience space, and nighttime art performances, at the north landscape floor at the eastern end of Dragon Bridge from 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm daily between December 20, 2024 and January 2, 2025.
