Many attractive activities on both banks of Da Nang's Han River in 2025
2025 is a year with many important celebrations of Viet Nam, and Da Nang in particular. The city will organise many unique cultural and festival activities on the both banks of the Han River to celebrate and improve the spiritual life of both locals and tourists.

Compared to 2024, cultural and festival activities on the both banks of the Han River in 2025 are more diverse and richer with 79 activities. Activities that have become brands and characteristics associated with the banks of the Han River such as street music, street dance, street plays continue to be maintained by units with the growing number of performances.
In addition, the city will arrange activities every week and month of the year, suitable for the weather of each season and ensures that every week there are programmes and events for local residents and tourists to participate in.
Among the regular activities, 2025 will see a new programme called ‘Dance to the sky’ organised by the Cultural - Cinema Centre on Bach Dang walking street on Saturday evenings, the third week of March, May and July.
Deputy Director of the Cultural - Cinema Centre Nguyen Cuong said that this programme introduces to local dwellers and tourists the typical ‘Tung tung da da’ dance, a traditional group dance for both men and women of the Co Tu ethnic minority group in Hoa Vang District
. “This is a new activity, highly interactive, promising to bring a new breeze to the series of highly interesting activities on the both banks of the Han River and attract locals and tourists “, Mr. Cuong said.
The year 2025 marks many important milestones of Viet Nam such as the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Viet Nam; 50 years of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification; 80 years of the founding of the Democratic Republic of Viet Nam, now the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam. This is also the milestone of half a century of the Da Nang liberation and the final year of the emulation to complete the Resolution of the 22nd Congress of the Da Nang City Party Committee. Therefore, space along the two banks of the Han River is also ideal to organise cultural and artistic activities and celebrations, spreading the joyful and exciting atmosphere to the masses and tourists.
Among them, there are many notable programmes such as the concert ‘March Triumphal Song’ taking place on March 29 at the APEC Park, the art programme celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Da Nang Liberation by the Da Nang College of Culture and Arts, the storytelling contest ‘50 years of the Da Nang land and people’ organised by the Hai Chau District Culture - Sports Centre.
In addition, in March and April 2025, cultural and artistic units in the city will also organise many attractive activities of various types, from exhibitions, book fairs, to performances, flower vehicle parades and ‘Ao Dai’ shows so as to diversify spiritual food for the people.
In the series of 79 cultural activities - festivals on the both sides of the iconic Han River in 2025, Hai Chau and Son Tra urban districts will contribute many attractive programmes and events. In particular, in the Bach Dang walking street area, Hai Chau District will build many new activities, with diverse types to turn this place a favourite venue for both locals and tourists.
According to Director of the Hai Chau District Culture - Sports Centre Tran Van Manh, in 2025, the district will organise the ‘Ao dai’ festival for the first time, the international lion dance festival, the junior high school student band festival, the mass art festival for the elderly, to enrich the series of events and festivals along the both sides of the Han River.
In parallel with that, special heed will be paid to maximising the function of the APEC Park, maintaining and increasing the scale of cultural programmes associated with the local brand. In particular, the district will promote coordination with units, associations and businesses to organise experiential activities, entertainment and check-in venues for tourists, especially foreigners, along the highly popular Bach Dang walking street.
“In addition to art programmes to celebrate the anniversaries of the city and the country as a whokle, this space will be used to organise folk games and art playgrounds for young people. For children, we also have activities such as drawing, dancing, making handmade products, in order to encourage parents to take their children there to play and entertain.”, said Mr. Manh.
According to Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Culture and Sports Nguyen Thi Hoi An, her agency has proactively surveyed the needs and tastes of local residents and tourists for cultural activities – festivals along the both banks of the Han River over the years to organise programmes and activities in 2025 to ensure quality and make more breakthroughs. Activities are organised with a tendency to expand both in terms of space, scale and quantity.
In particular, activities on the Thuan Phuoc and Tran Thi Ly bridges will be strengthened to avoid overlap and overload in some areas as currently and increase interaction with the audience during activities to ensure organisational effectiveness so that all local residents and tourists can participate and immerse themselves in the festival atmosphere.
In addition, the Department will work with other relevant agencies to hold brand building events at the Bach Dang walking street in a bid to attract more tourists and promote this highly-inviting tourist attraction.
“In addition to the activities in the list, the Da Nang Department of Culture and Sports is currently working with professional event units nationwide to add a number of large-scale programmes to the chain of activities along the both banks of the Han River in order to serve local residents and tourists during the 2025 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival,” said Ms. An.
