Over the past few days, the atmosphere of making preparations for the Christmas and New Year 2025 Festival in Da Nang has been bustling at some locations where the festival will take place such as: the northern landscape floor, the eastern and the western banks of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge; the southern landscape floor, the western bank of Dragon Bridge, opposite the Da Nang Museum of Cham Sculpture.

The check-in space to welcome Christmas - Welcome New Year 2025 will be a place for Da Nang residents and tourists to have unforgettable memories.

This is the first festival to be held for 20 days, from December 14, 2024 to January 2, 2025, with a series of unique cultural, tourism, entertainment and recreation activities, promising to create a special impression on both city dwellers and visitors in the moment of welcoming the new year 2025.

Check-in space to welcome Christmas - New Year 2025 will open 5:00 pm - 10:30pm from December 14, 2024  to January 2, 2025 with three unique and novel check-in models: a brightly lit Christmas tree, a unique giant gift box and a colourful set of New Year 2025 greeting letters.

Lighting the Christmas tree will start at 7:30pm on December 16, 2024 at the northern landscape floor, the western bank of Dragon Bridge (opposite VTV8), promising a brilliant and emotional space with bustling Christmas melodies and the activity of writing wishes to welcome the new year.

The opening ceremony of the Christmas and New Year 2025 Festival will take places at 5:00pm on December 20 at the eastern bank of the Dragon Bridge Park, on the corner of the Tran Hung Dao and Ly Nam De streets with a programme featuring a series of special art performances. After the opening ceremony, 300 Santa Claus will parade on the street, making the highlight of this year’s festival.

The special nightly art programme will be held at 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm from December 20, 2024 to January 2, 2025 on the northern landscape floor, the easern bank of the Dragon Bridge, will bring about the music and art space with Christmas-themed art performances, welcoming the New Year and special, eye-catching DJ performances.

In addition, at the entertainment - experience space, there are also a number of competitions, games, and experiential activities with the Christmas theme from December 20, 2024 to December 25, 2024 and the New Year theme from December 26, 2024 to January 1, 2025 with a workshop on making creative velvet zinc decorations, scented candles, painting and taking photos.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai An, the Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism, preparations have been completed for the Christmas and New Year 2025 Festival. This is a special event, not only marking the vibrant transformation of the city in the last days of the year, but also an opportunity for Da Nang to introduce its unique cultural, artistic and identity values to domestic and international friends.
