More than 400 people gathered at the Viet Nam - Russia friendship exchange programme themed "Russia - A Forever Love" held in Da Nang on Friday.

The event was jointly organised by the Union of Friendship Organisations in Da Nang, the city branch of the Viet Nam - Russia Friendship Association, and the Consulate General of Russia in the city.

Speaking at the programme, President of the Viet Nam - Russia Friendship Association of the city Phan Thi Thuy shared that Viet Nam and Russia has always stood side by side, supporting each other in every historical moment. The programme affirmed the special feelings of Vietnamese people for the country and people of Russia.

The programme featured many cultural exchange performances performed by members of the city branch of the Viet Nam - Russia Friendship Association, and staff of the Consulate General of Russia in the city. The participants had the opportunity to enjoy Vietnamese - Russian cuisine.

On the occasion, the Executive Committee of the Viet Nam - Russia Friendship Association of the city for the 2024 - 2029 term, and 8 newly established friendship branches under the association, were introduced.
