Preparations for art activities on the occasion of upcoming Tet 2025 are carried out quite early and methodically by units and localities citywide.
For instance, since mid-December 2024, the Nguyen Hien Dinh Tuong Theatre has reported a special art programme to serve the people during Tet.
Deputy Director of the Theater Nguyen Thanh Phuong said that the unit's Tet 70-minute programme has the theme "Spring greetings to ancestors" and features 10 performances.
This is a comprehensive programme with diverse genres, from Tuong performances, folk dances and instrumental music with the direction of the famous general directors, choreographers, musicians and directors nationwide.
Notable among them will be the drum performance "Khi phach non song", traditional musical instrument performance "Chuc Xuan menh To", and Chau Van "Da Nang don xuan". In addition, there will be special excerpts of Tuong and singing and dancing performances about Tet and Sspring.
"The programme will be performed for free for the people on the 3rd and 5th of Tet. Along with that, the theatre also plans to coordinate with localities to organise performances for people in areas far from the city centre", said Mr. Phuong.
Also, there will be many special art programmes to serve young audiences who love modern art, including music programmes, hosted by the Trung Vuong Theatre on Lunar New Year's Eve and the first day of the Lunar New Year 2025.
Director of Trung Vuong Theatre Tran Van Hao said that the music programme to welcome in Lunar New Year 2025 will have "Spring Shining" as its theme and will be organised by the unit in coordination with the Son Tra District Culture, Information and Sports Centre on the east bank of the Dragon Bridge on Lunar New Year's Eve.
Through the abovementioned programme, the artistes hope to convey the belief and aspiration for a bright lunar new year and reaping many new victories.
One of the highlights during this year's traditional Tet holiday will be the art programme to welcome Spring 2025, scheduled to be held on the evening of January 17 at the eastern end of the Dragon Bridge by the Da Nang College of Culture and Arts.
The college's annual art programme on Tet occasion draws much attention from locals and tourists because of attractive performances by talented young people.
According to the college's Principal Vu Thi Tuyet Lan, this year's programme will have many new features. It will be divided into 3 parts including "Spring offers to the Party", "Old Tet Flavours" and "Spring Returns to Da Nang". In addition to the special singing and dancing performances, the programme will bring the audience an 'Ao Dai' fashion show, water drum dance, violin ensemble and 'bai choi' performances.
"Currently, the college students are practicing hard to bring the audience the best quality performances. Hopefully, the programme will become an emotional touch point, bringing positive feelings to the audience, to look forward to a peaceful new year full of joy and success", Ms. Lan shared.

In localities, the preparation of mass art programmes to welcome in Lunar New Year is being made in order to ensure progress and good quality to serve the people.
In particular, Hai Chau District will organise the programme entitled "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Yeu Thuong" 2025, whilst there will be an art festival of school pupils and art programmes within the framework of the Spring Flower Festival 2025 in Thanh Khe District.
Currently, cultural and performing arts units are making efforts to practice, produce, and launch new performances and programmes to refresh the public's spiritual food. In addition, the Da Nang Department of Culture and Sports supports private units in terms of space, location, and content of art programmes, aimed at ensuring quality, suitability, and a joyful atmosphere, thereby meeting the entertainment needs of people and tourists.
