During the Lunar New Year 2025 holiday, Da Nang organised many art programmes and exhibitions to serve local people and tourists.

At the moment of the Lunar New Year, the city organised fireworks displays at 3 locations: Bach Dang Street (the intersection between Bach Dang - Binh Minh 6 Street in Hai Chau District), the area in front of the Lien Chieu District Administrative Centre, the resettlement area of the western beltway (Duong Lam 1 Village, Hoa Phong Commune, Hoa Vang District). At each location, the fireworks display lasted for 15 minutes.

There were art programmes to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Viet Nam ‘Hello Spring 2025’; cultural and artistic exchange ‘Han River Dance’; New Year’s Eve art programme to celebrate the Lunar New Year 2025; cultural and artistic programmes and activities on both banks of the Han River.

Bach Dang Spring Flower Street created highlights in the area of the Administrative Center, the Da Nang Museum, attracting people and tourists to visit.

According to the Da Nang Department of Construction, this year, instead of only lasting about 15 to 20 days as before, the flower street is expected to last nearly 5 months, serving the Lunar New Year 2025 festival and major events and holidays in Da Nang in the first months of 2025. Many people and tourists in the city came to the west bank of the Han River to admire the snake mascot and the Tet flower street.

Mr. John Forbes Kerry, a US tourist, said that the miniatures here are elaborately and creatively decorated, bearing the cultural imprint of the traditional Vietnamese Tet, especially the snake mascot statue located at the south end of the Dragon Bridge with an impressive shape.

Just walking around here, we feel like we are lost in the colourful world of spring. Meanwhile, Ms. Hoang Tra Vinh, a resident Hai Chau District shared: “The Bach Dang Flower Street is located in the most beautiful location of the city, so it is very convenient for people and tourists to stroll around. This year, the Bach Dang Flower Street is splendidly decorated, sparkling with colours, my children and I came here to visit and take pictures to preserve beautiful memories for the family during the coming of Tet and Spring”.

At the 29 March Park, from January 24 to February 9, the Thanh Khe District People's Committee organized the Spring Flower Festival 2025 with the theme ‘Da Nang celebrates the Party - celebrates Spring’ attracting a large number of people to visit and check-in. Cultural and artistic activities such as lion and dragon dance performances to welcome spring, musical and drama art shows, variety art shows ‘Welcome the new spring 2025’ took place vibrantly, making locals and tourists excited.

This is the third year that the Spring Flower Festival has been organised in a socialized form, increasingly innovated, connecting cultural, artistic and garden art activities, thereby, spreading the atmosphere of the traditional Tet holiday of the nation to a large number of local resident and tourists.

At the Da Nang General Science Library, Spring and Tet celebration activities were also organized enthusiastically. According to Deputy Director of the Da Nang General Science Library Vu Thi An, through preliminary statistics from January 21 to 3:00 p.m. on January 31, the Spring Newspaper Festival and exhibition of propaganda publications at the library served 2,572 readers/7,890 circulated documents.

This event aimed to honour the achievements of the city's journalism - publishing, photography and painting industries in the past year, and at the same time, promote the historical significance of major holidays of the whole country, and the city in particular, thereby arousing patriotism, love for the homeland, love for national traditions and raising the sense of responsibility for each cadre, party member and people across the city.
