Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Ngu Hanh Son District People's Committee Nguyen Hoa said that the Quan The Am Festival has become one of the traditional folk festivals imbued with Buddhist beliefs, and it has maintained, practiced, and passed down from generation to generation, with a strong influence in the spiritual and cultural life of the local community and the great pride of local people.

With the majestic natural landscape of the Marble Mountains special national relic, the Quan The Am Ngu Hanh Son Festival is increasingly organised on a larger scale, with many rich and exciting activities, satisfying the needs of Buddhist followers, and becoming a unique cultural and spiritual tourism product in the city, he noted.

More meaningfully, this year's festival takes place in a jubilant and bustling atmosphere as activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Da Nang and the country's unification are being organised in residential areas, wards and districts, Mr. Nguyen Hoa emphasised.

In addition, the festival serves as a bridge to connect, meet and exchange, as well as demonstrate the special friendship and solidarity tradition of Vietnamese Buddhism and countries with similar Buddhist cultures.

During the event, delegates attended the ceremony to release balloons to pray for global peace and happiness. At the same time, some traditional rituals were performed to express the message of love, and pray for the national prosperity and peace.

The Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva costume ceremony was held in parallel with the process of Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva Statue. This was the most anticipated part of the ceremony for the people and tourists. In addition to the Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva costume, the festival also featured costumes of other Bodhisattvas, fairies, and the Four Heavenly Kings.
