In his opening speech at the opening ceremony of the festival, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of My An Ward Huynh Duc Tho said that the Carnival Festival featured the combination of tradition and modernity. Inspired by the rich heritage of festivals originating from ancient Rome and medieval Europe, it is developed into a cultural and musical performance. This year’s festival embraced the global diversity of Da Nang in general and My An Ward in particular.
“The festival is not only a testament to the cultural richness of An Thuong tourist quarter but also offers a remarkable opportunity to connect people and tourists together. Additionally, the event provides a good chance for the Vietnamese community to exchange with the cultural traditions of countries around the world. This is a catalytic event for positive changes and cultural exchanges", Mr. Huynh Duc Tho emphasised.
