After one year of implementing the project on Developing Literature and Arts in Da Nang by 2030, relevant local agencies have raised awareness of the role of literature and arts, thereby, improving the effectiveness of state management and organising many activities, creating a vibrant literary and artistic environment and life to serve the increasingly high entertainment needs of the people.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoi An, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Culture and Sports, said that, as the standing agency of the project, in the past time, this agency has organised many activities, events and festivals, thereby affirming the important role of literature and art in building and nurturing people's souls, aiming at noble aesthetic values.

State management of literature and art in 2024 has changed positively, contributing to institutionalizing the viewpoints, guidelines and policies of the Party, the State and the city into specific mechanisms and policies towards improving professionalism, creating an environment for free creative activities and enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of management. The attention and priority of investment resources for the city's cultural, literary and artistic cause from the state budget and socialized sources has also gradually increased.

In 2024, the public investment capital plan allocated capital for basic construction in the field of literature and art of more than VND 138 billion. The Department coordinated with relevant units to integrate the recommendations of the Da Nang Union of Literature and Arts Associations on coordinating the organisation of literary and artistic activities, competitions, and performances at regional, national, and international levels, introducing to the public quality literary and artistic works, rich in art forms, into the draft project to develop Da Nang into a center of culture and art, scientific research and training of cultural and artistic human resources of the North Central and Central Coast regions.

With the initiative and active implementation of the assigned work programme and tasks, the city's cultural units have organized professional art performances. The Trung Vuong Theater organised art programmes well at major events of the city, especially the programme ‘The River Tells the Story’ that participated in the ‘National Festival of Singing, Dancing, and Music in 2024’ and won a silver medal. The Trung Vuong Theater Band won 1 A prize at the ‘2024 National Band Festival’…

The Nguyen Hien Dinh Tuong (Classic Drama) Theater regularly maintains the popularity of the programmes ‘Hon Viet’ (The Soul of Viet Nam) and ‘Tuong Street performances’.

The Da Nang General Science Library has served more than 1 million turns of reading and borrowing books, and circulated more than 2 million documents, books and newspapers, including serving on-site readers, web visits, e-book access and digital documents.

Ms. Vu Thi An, Deputy Director of the Da Nang General Science Library, said that the library will continue to promote the implementation of the project to develop the city’s public library system in the 2021 - 2025 period, with a vision towards 2030, and the project to encourage reading culture, targeting students in Da Nang. Each year, the library organises 4 reading culture festivals with many highly inviting activities to attract more potential readers.

After one year of implementing the project to develop literature and arts in Da Nang by 2030, the city's literary and artistic activities have developed healthily, in the right direction, have kept pace with and accompanied the events and political tasks of the city and the country as a whole.

The team of artists has many conditions and creative environments, and has produced many quality works that closely follow real life. In addition, the activities of collecting, researching, preserving culture, folk literature and traditional culture have been given attention and focus, and have initially achieved many encouraging results; Theoretical activities, literary and artistic criticism are taken into account, basically meeting the requirements of integration and national development in the new period.
