Accordingly, the Da Nang Fine Arts Museum organised the opening of the mobile exhibition ‘Da Nang - The days after liberation and today’ at the Nguyen Tri Phuong Junior High School, Hoa Bac Commune, Hoa Vang District, Da Nang.
The exhibition aims to promote and educate the young generation about love for the homeland, while creating conditions for pupils in areas far from the city center to access the museum’s activities, in order to create opportunities for them to learn more about the development history of the land and people of Da Nang through works of art and photography.
The exhibition that runs from March 10 - 13 introduces 60 artworks including 30 sketches by artist Nguyen Duc Hanh about Da Nang in the days after liberation, after March 29, 1975.
A total of 30 photographic works by photographer Ong Van Sinh record images of the development of Da Nang in the period from 1980s - 1990s to the present.
Each work is like a story recreating the scenery and life of Da Nang people in the early days of building and reconstructing the city after the war, the changes and developments every day, the respect and pride for the achievements that the government and people of Da Nang have achieved today.
The opening programme was attended by photographer Ong Van Sinh, the former Chairman of the Da Nang Art Photography Association, whose work is displayed in the exhibition, and the person who keeps many memories of the city.
The exhibition hopes to bring students useful knowledge and experiences, contributing to fostering a love of art in the city’s young generation, motivating them to study and follow in the footsteps of their ancestors to build Da Nang to become more prosperous.
On this occasion, the Da Nang Fine Arts Museum will organise the fine arts exhibition ‘Da Nang brocade’ on March 25. The event aims to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of Da Nang (March 29, 1975 - March 29, 2025) and the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
The exhibition will display nearly 50 outstanding paintings and sculptures created by 20 Da Nang artists.
