The first congress to establish the Da Nang Pickleball Federation in the 2025-2030 term was held in the city on Saturday morning.

Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Council Doan Ngoc Hung Anh (3rd, left) presented flowers to congratulate the congress.

During the event, 27 delegates were elected to the Executive Committee of the Da Nang Pickleball Federation.

Speaking at the congress, Chairman of the Da Nang Pickleball Federation Tran Phuoc Son said that pickleball has developed strongly in recent times, with the participation of many sports enthusiasts in the city. Pickleball has become a sport chosen by civil servants, armed forces and people in the city in particular and the whole country in general.

He, therefore, added that the establishment of the federation was an important turning point, demonstrating the close and timely attention of the city's leaders in developing the sports career in general and pickleball in particular. After a period of preparing the procedures according to regulations and related conditions, the Federation's organisation board held a congress to establish the federation.

In order for the federation's activities to become increasingly effective and practical, the federation has developed a plan and implemented it to ensure its activities according to specific goals and directions.

In particular, the first goal is to develop pickleball widely at all levels and for all subjects, with special attention to youngsters and children in order to contribute to improving health, spiritual life and stature, and strengthening the solidarity of all classes of people.

At the same time, the newly-established federation will always encourage, guide and create the most favorable conditions for organisations and individuals to form and develop pickleball clubs to operate methodically and professionally, ensuring compliance with the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's policies and laws.
