Highlights of Mother Goddess of Water Festival 2025
The festival featuring the worship of ‘Mau Thoai’ (Mother Goddess of Water) in 2025 was officially opened at the Tam Giang Holy Temple in Da Nang’s Cam Le District on Thursday.

In his opening speech, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Cam Le District Ngo Ngoc Hau highlighted that the festival was one of the annual cultural and religious events held in the locality.
Through the festival, the locality wished to preserve and promote traditional cultural values; and educate patriotism and solidarity in building and protecting the homeland. Also, the event contributed to building unique spiritual and cultural products in the locality and exploiting the potential of spiritual and cultural tourism effectively, he added.
This year's festival lasts until March 21 with an array of traditional rituals and festive activities.

Additionally, there are camping, a ritual procession, and a competition to decorate tents, booths displaying local products, calligraphy, a mass art festival, Chau Van performances, and a photo contest.
A number of cultural and sports activities are organised during the festival such as painting, tug of war, sack jumping, blindfolded duck catching, and traditional boat race on the Cam Le River.
