Over 300 people, including representatives of consulates and international students of Russia, China, Japan, Laos, and South Korea in Da Nang, took part in the Walk for Peace and Humanity programme on Wednesday morning, as part of the Quan The Am (Avalokiteśvara) Festival 2025.

In his remarks at the opening ceremony of the programme, Chairman of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of the city Le Van Trung highlighted the programme served as a strong call for solidarity, love and mutual understanding between peoples, countries and communities in the world.

“We are all here together to undertake a journey not only to practice walking but also for a nobler purpose which is to spread the message ‘Walking for peace for humanity’, so that every step, every breath we take on this beautiful land of Ngu Hanh Son, Da Nang, is a step forward to bring the earth - the beloved green planet of humanity to peace, solidarity and sustainable development, all towards a peaceful world, where everyone walks together, and respects and loves each other”, Mr. Le Van Trung emphasised.

In the atmosphere of friendship, the Da Nang Peace Committee called on delegates, locals and international friends who are currently working, studying and living in the city to join hands in action to contribute to the voice of solidarity, humanity and determination to build sustainable peace towards a better future globally.
