A photography gala themed "Tuong masks through the lens of photography", and an art photography exhibition entitled "Quang Nam Da Nang - Motherland of Love", were officially opened at the city’s APEC Sculpture Park on Thursday.

To celebrate the 72^nd anniversary of the Traditional Day of Vietnamese Photography (March 15, 1953 - March 15, 2025), the events were jointly organised by the Unions of Literature and Arts Associations, the Artistic Photography Associations, and the branches of the Viet Nam Photographers’ Association in Da Nang and  Quang Nam Province.

During the gala "Tuong Masks through the lens of photography", the Nguyen Hien Dinh Tuong Theatre introduced Tuong masks and held a talk show with the participation of 60 Tuong artistes and photographers.

Lasting until March 18, the art photo exhibition entitled "Quang Nam Da Nang - Motherland of Love" displays around 100 - 140 art photos reflecting the beauty of the land and people of Quang Nam - Da Nang.

On the occasion, the Viet Nam Association of Photographic Artists in Da Nang granted the decision and introduced 3 members of the Viet Nam Association of Photographic Artists, namely Nguyen Anh Cuong, Nguyen Sanh Quoc Huy, and Pham Dang Khiem. Additionally, photographers Nguyen Quang and Huynh Van Truyen were honoured with the title of the Viet Nam Association of Photographic Artists.
