Quan The Am Festival 2025: Spreading unique cultural space

After 4 days of excitement, the Quan The Am (Avalokiteśvara) Ngu Hanh Son Festival 2025 closed on Wednesday morning. With its unique and distinctive features, the festival is the crystallisation of the values ​​of Buddhist culture and the Marble Mountains special cultural heritage, clearly expressing the harmonious combination between religion and nation.

Mr. Nguyen Hoa, Chairman of Ngu Hanh Son District People's Committee, said that the Quan The Am Festival 2025 has become one of the traditional folk festivals imbued with Buddhist beliefs. Maintained and passed down from one generation to another, the festival has a strong influence on the spiritual and cultural life of the local community.

Visitors to the festival had the opportunity to enjoy the unique spiritual cultural space of rituals imbued with Buddhist colours, as well as take part in many attractive cultural, artistic and sports activities. The festival also offered a chance for international visitors to experience and learn about the spiritual values ​​imbued with the history and culture of Vietnamese Buddhism, and cultural exchanges between peoples around the world, especially countries in the Asia - Pacific region.

The highlight of this year's festival was the organisation of many amazing cultural and artistic activities, including exhibitions of paintings and art photos. Each photo is not only a work of art but also a story about the harmonious combination of folk beliefs and modern beauty between tradition and creativity.

According to Mr. Nguyen Nho Khiem, Chairman of the Da Nang Union of Literature and Arts Associations, through the lens of photographers, visitors to the exhibitions can admire beautiful images of the Quan The Am procession, the splendid Quan The Am Pagoda, and colourful festival moments. These works not only preserve beautiful memories but also convey a message of community solidarity, and respect and gratitude for sacred spiritual values. These valuable documents greatly contribute to preserving and promoting the cultural identity of Da Nang in particular and Viet Nam in general.

Prominent among them was the talk show "The influence of Buddhism in the ‘Ma Nhai’ (Inscriptions) documentary heritage at the Marble Mountains scenic spot". Meanwhile, the Walk for Peace programme had the participation of over 300 representatives of agencies, organizations and foreign consulates in the city.

“The Walk for Peace programme, held for the first time this year, has profound meaning, contributing to creating a new feature for the festival. This activity not only promotes the spirit of solidarity, cooperation and mutual understanding between individuals, communities and countries, but also spreads the message of peace to the whole world. I feel proud to participate in this meaningful event”, said Consul General of Japan in Da Nang Mori Takero.

Chairman of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of the city Le Van Trung said that the Walk for Peace programme carried a very meaningful message, and served as a strong call for solidarity, love and mutual understanding between peoples, countries and communities in the world.
