Le Quy Don Senior High School comes 3rd at 30 April Olympiad

On Monday morning, the Management Board of Da Nang’s Le Quy Don Senior High School for Gifted Students honoured the city’s excellent students who recently took part in the 20th annual 30 April Olympiad for Year 10 and 11 students in the southern region. 

The contest was held from 4 - 6 April at Ho Chi Minh City’s Le Hong Phong Senior High School for Gifted Students.  The contestants competed in Literature, History, Geography, English, French, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Informatics.  More than 6,000 students participated, from 131 senior high schools in the southern and central regions, and the highlands.

In that total were 112 from Da Nang - 54 from Le Quy Don, with the remaining 58 from Phan Chau Trinh Senior High School.  In the contest, Le Quy Don came third with 25 gold, 20 silver and 8 bronze medals.  Phan Chau Trinh finished in 42nd place with 3 gold, 8 silver and 15 bronze. 

The team from the host school, Le Hong Phong, took first place with 46 gold, 10 silver and 3 bronze medals, with Quang Trung Specialised and Gifted High School in Binh Phuoc Province coming second with 26 gold, 21 silver and 3 bronze.
