An awards ceremony for the Toefl Primary Challenge 2014 for 3^rd - 5^th grade primary pupils across Viet Nam recently took place at the Phu Dong Primary School in Hai Chau District.  The event was jointly organised by the city’s Department of Education and Training and IIG Viet Nam, which is the exclusive and official representative of the Educational Testing Service in Viet Nam.

At the ceremony, Nguyen An Khanh, a Year 5 pupil at the Hoang Van Thu Primary School in Chau District, and 15 other pupils from primary schools in Ho Chi Minh City were honoured for gaining the highest scores in the contest.

The 2014 contest attracted 18,700 primary pupils nationwide, with 2,600 of them from Da Nang.  The contestants competed in two categories – language-oriented development, and reading and listening comprehension.
