The National Science and Technology Week was launched at Da Nang’s University of Technology on Thursday morning.  On the same day, an exhibition about remarkable achievements in scientific and technological innovations and publicity officially opened in the university’s Learning Resource Centre.

As stipulated in the Science and Technology Law of 2013, 18 May is Viet Nam’s Science and Technology Day.  This year, the day will honour outstanding employees involved in scientific research and technology development.

To mark the occasion, the Viet Nam Academy of Science and Technology and national universities and research institutes nationwide have all opened their laboratories to the public.  This allows domestic pupils and university students to visit, with the aim of arousing a creative passion amongst the younger generations.
