Five local pupils honoured for outstanding results in English Champion 2014

On Sunday morning, the awards ceremony for the English Champion (EC) 2014 for primary and junior high school pupils in Da Nang took place at the Bach Duong Restaurant on 250 Han Thuyen Street in Hai Chau District.  The event was jointly organised by the Viet Nam Study Encouragement Association and the Da Nang branch of the EQuest Academy.

At the event, 5 local pupils were honoured for gaining the highest scores in the contest.  They were Huynh Ha Bao Ngoc, a Year 4 pupil at the Singapore International School; Nguyen Thi Yen Nhi, a Year 5 pupil at the Tran Thi Ly Primary School; Nguyen Thu Thuy, a Year 6 pupil at the Singapore International School; Pham Anh Phuong, a Year 7 pupil at the Trung Vuong Junior High School; and Ho Tuan Kiet, a Year 8 pupil at the Nguyen Khuyen Junior High School.

The EC 2014 contest was held between March and June in Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City and Ha Noi, and attracted nearly 3,000 primary and junior high school pupils from Da Nang.  The contestants competed in 3 rounds to test their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, and their efforts were judged by foreign teachers.
