Nearly 27,000 candidates sit university and college entrance exams
Today (4 July) a total of 26,855 candidates started their first day of the 1st phase of this year's university and college entrance examinations in Da Nang.
The examinations in this phase, which are being held today and tomorrow, are for students in Group A (mathematics, physics and chemistry), A1 (mathematics, physics and English), and V (mathematics, physics and drawing).
This morning, the candidates started their exams with mathematics tests, and they will take physics tests this afternoon. Tomorrow, the students will sit the tests in their third subjects. Mathematics is tested using the constructed-response format, whilst physics, chemistry, and English use multiple-choice.
This year sees the highest ever number of candidates sitting for their examinations. In this 1st phase, a total of nearly 2,000 employees and teaching staff members of the city’s education sector, plus local final-year students, are involved in monitoring the examinations.
