The Microsoft Information Technology (IT) Academy, the first of its kind in the central region and highlands, was officially opened last Friday.

The Academy’s students will be provided with standardised curricula, and will be given access to the DreamSpark software repository and electronic library systems.  In addition, the school will offer training courses in Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS), validated by Microsoft Viet Nam, along with office informatics and level B informatics certified by the University of Da Nang.

On the same day, representatives from the University of Da Nang and Microsoft Viet Nam signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement for boosting IT development. 

Under their agreement, top priority will be given to setting up a dedicated database system, developing private cloud solutions, widely applying the Microsoft Office 365 Education A2 package, developing the university's Software Development Centre as the Microsoft-authorised education reseller in the central region and highlands, and deploying applications on Microsoft’s technology platform.
