The Da Nang People's Committee Chairman, Mr Van Huu Chien, recently presented Certificates of Merit to 12 local students who had gained top marks nationwide in this year’s university and college entrance exams.

In detail, 4 students came top in their entrance exams and received 4 million VND each, whilst the remainder were given 3 million VND each for gaining the best results within the faculties of the universities and colleges they were applying for.

Amongst the recipients, 4 were from the Le Quy Don Senior High School for Gifted Students, 3 came from the Phan Chau Trinh Senior High School, 2 from the Hoang Hoa Tham Senior High School, one from the Thai Phien Senior High School and one from the Hoa Vang Senior High School.  The remaining student had already graduated from a local senior high school the previous academic year.
