The central region final round of the 2014 Viet Nam TI MCU Design Contest is taking place at the Learning Resource Centre of the Da Nang University of Technology on 2 and 3 October.

Co-organised by the USA’s Texas Instruments Company and the university’s Centre of Excellence, the event involves 18 teams from the Duy Tan University and the University of Technology in Da Nang, plus the University of Sciences in Hue City.

The contest is open to all students from Vietnamese universities and colleges across the country.  Participating teams are required to use TI MSP430 and Tiva C ARM Cortex-M4F as the main processor, and they have to design their own hardware platform or use existing TI EVMs to implement certain functions.
