Viettel OTT app going global
"It’s not a huge figure but we’ve received great support for the new application," Director of the Viettel Media Center, Mr. Vo Thanh Hai, said.
Developed and tested since December 2014, Mocha Messenger’s unique features include Voice Sticker and “Listening to Music Together”, which allows different users to listen to the same song at the same time.
Viettel subscribers using Mocha can also send free messages to other Viettel subscribers even if they have not installed the app.
Mocha is now available for iOS, Android and Windows Phone. With the significant growth in user numbers, Viettel will continue with upgrades and focus on other useful features to provide a better product experience for customers.
Mocha has also become available overseas, having been recently launched in Haiti with the participation of numerous artists in the country. Following Haiti, Viettel expects to make the app available in the US. Mocha can now be downloaded in nearly 200 countries and territories with an immediate translation feature to support users, with over 90 languages.
Despite being launched later and having to compete with other strong OTT apps with large numbers of users such as Zalo, Viber, and Facebook Messenger, Mocha is creative and constantly updated with unique features. The app is among the most popular apps on Apple Store, Google Play, and Windows Store.
