A discussion took place at Da Nang’s Duy Tan University on Tuesday about effective ways to help its lecturers and students develop start-up businesses.  The event was jointly organised by the city’s Coordination Council for Business Start-up Network and DTU.

The Council’s Chairman, Mr Vo Duy Khuong, remarked “DTU is a large research and training centre in Da Nang, and the central region as a whole.  Therefore, top priority should be given to assisting the university’s lecturers and students to develop their own start-up businesses”.

DTU’s Vice Principal, Mr Vo Thanh Hai, said “To date, DTU’s lecturers and students have created a wide range of inventions, many of which have been brought to fruition.  However, many of their inventions have yet to win the trust of local customers, and some of them have been bought by local organisations and businesses but have yet to be publicised and introduced widely to the local market”.

DTU’s Principal, meritorious teacher Le Cong Co, said “My university will work closely with the local authorities to develop its start-up activities in order to make my school a start-up university in the near future”.
