A seminar took place in Da Nang on 19 and 20 April about implementing the ‘Skills to Succeed’ project which has been initiated by the Save the Children organisation.

The participants came from the USA, UK, China, Denmark, Bangladesh, the Philippines and Viet Nam.  They together shared their experiences and discussed effective strategies to help young people find jobs in the global youth unemployment crisis.  Discussions were also on measures to boost cooperative ties with local policymakers, private businesses, and youths to tackle the problem.

Over the past 2 years, the project has provided over 2,000 young people in Da Nang and Can Tho with the necessary skills to find jobs.  Over 70% of them have already found suitable jobs or now run their own businesses.
