In addition, 36 local outstanding entrants received awards at the 13th Da Nang Technical Innovation Competition.

Finally, 3 of the city’s 4 entries won 2015 Viet Nam Scientific and Technological Innovation Awards, whilst 7 of its 24 entries received prizes at the 11th National Innovation Competition for School Pupils.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman Dung praised the competitions’ local entrants for their outstanding solutions, technical innovations and scientific research work which bring high economic values.  He hoped that these kinds of competitions will encourage local scientists to continue conducting research and apply their scientific and technological achievements for the country’s progress.  In addition, this will help Vietnamese businesses enhance their production activities and the quality of their products in order to reduce their imports and save foreign currency for their country.

At the event, the organisers presented Certificates of Merits and awards to a total of 57 prizewinners.  Certificates of Merit were also given to the city’s Union of Science and Technology Associations, and some local groups and individuals, in recognition of their active involvement in organising these events.
