On Wednesday, 49 pupils from Da Nang’s Le Quy Don Senior High School for Gifted Students were honoured in recognition of their outstanding achievements in the 2016 National Contest for Excellent Students.  In detail, they won one first, 11 second, 17 third, and 20 commendation prizes.

In the academic year 2015-2016, the school’s pupils also received 18 gold, 21 silver and 7 bronze medals in the 22nd annual 30 April Olympiad for Year 10 and 11 students in the southern region.

In addition, over 95% of the school’s pupils achieved outstanding study results, and over 99% had good conduct.  The pupils also actively participated in various local cultural and sporting events, including the ‘Youth Journey’ programme and the “Melody of March” musical show.

On the same day, rewards valued at 900,000 VND each were also given to 173 of the school’s pupils in order to encourage them to promote their studies.
