The 19^th Da Nang Youth Informatics Contest for pupils is being held at Da Nang’s Duy Tan University until tomorrow, 21 May.

The event has been jointly organised by the municipal Department of Education and Training, the Department of Information and Communications, the Department of Science and Technology, the company Softech, the FPT Polytechnic, the local Informatics Association, and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. 

This year’s event has 664 contestants, comprising 333 from primary schools, 202 from junior high schools, and 129 from senior high schools.  They compete in the categories of general knowledge, innovative software, and selecting and awarding prizes to online social networks.  Throughout the contest, the talented pupils will be selected to attend intensive training courses in order to present Da Nang at the soon-to-be-held National Youth Informatics Contest.
