Following recent approval by the Da Nang authorities, over 26.7 billion VND from the city budget will be spent on installing new information technology (IT) equipment and devices at local schools.  Included are computers, security equipment and software, in use in managerial activities, and the teaching and studying of IT.

The provision of IT equipment is in preparation for the city’s project for developing an IT architecture framework for the local education sector over the 2018 – 2020 period.

The project’s developer is the municipal Department of Education and Training.

IT architecture is the development of methodical IT specifications, models and guidelines, using a variety of IT notations, within a coherent IT architecture framework.

The framework will be developed on the basis of the existing IT equipment, compiled data and the upgraded IT apps, in accordance with the IT system of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Under the project, the focus will be on developing the framework’s terminal equipment.  Also, computer network and Internet transmission lines will be installed at a total of 225 local schools at all levels, centres of continuing education, and district-level education and training offices.
