At a press conference on Monday it was announced that the 2017 Robot Contest for Senior High School Pupils will take place at Da Nang-based Phan Chau Trinh Senior High School from 18 - 20 August.

This year’s contest, which has ‘Startups to Reach to Future’ as its theme, will attract 23 teams from 11 senior high schools in Da Nang, and 3 ones from 6 in Quang Nam Province.  The municipal participating schools are Le Quy Don, Phan Chau Trinh, Hoa Vang, Thai Phien, Hoang Hoa Tham, Tran Phu, Nguyen Trai, Ngo Quyen, Herman, Nguyen Hien and Ton That Tung.  The provincial schools comprise Le Thanh Tong, Nguyen Binh Khiem, Hoang Dieu, Pham Phu Thu, Luong The Vinh, and Phan Boi Chau.

The contest is funded by the city budget, the Ho Nghinh Science and Technology Creativity Promotion Fund, and the municipal Science and Technology Creativity Fund.  The DA NANG Newspaper and the Da Nang Radio and Television (DRT) are responsible for providing the contest-related information for local readers.

The annual event gives participants the opportunity to exchange and share their experience in robot-making activities.
