Viet Nam – leading Asian destination for IT
Viet Nam is a leading information technology (IT) services destination in Asia. The information was released at a press conference in Ho Chi Minh City on 8 August on the upcoming IT service export conference 2017.

President of the Viet Nam Information Technology Outsourcing Alliance (VNITO) Lam Nguyen Hai Long said that the IT outsourcing industry is growing in Viet Nam, especially in HCM City.
The city earns nearly one billion USD per year from exporting IT services, he noted.
According to the global real estate adviser Cushman & Wakefield, Viet Nam was ranked first in the world’s business process outsourcing (BPO) in 2016.
The US Gartner’s research and advisory company ranked Viet Nam first amongst the six leading destinations in global technological transfer in Asia-Pacific in 2016.
The latest research from the KPMG service firm showed that the Quang Trung Software City in HCMC was ranked third in 8 technological parks in terms of land occupancy rate, incentives, and telecom infrastructure. It ranked fourth in scale, efficiency and operation of businesses, FDI attraction, and human resources skills.
CEO and President of LogiGear Corp Hung Nguyen suggested increasing the capacity for youngsters and investing in research and development activities, as well as reforming technologies to increase competitiveness.
The IT service export conference 2017 is scheduled to take place in HCMC on 19-20 October with the participation of over 150 multinational groups and 250 domestic IT businesses to promote Viet Nam’s potential in the field, and connect domestic and foreign companies.
