This year’s event will have ‘Technological Innovation - Enhancing Living Conditions of People’ as its theme.  It is expected to attract over 2,000 participants in total from 10 countries worldwide.

In addition, various activities will be held during the upcoming event.

In detail, a total of 9 conferences, seminars and talks will be organised to introduce participants to technological applications which have been developed by domestic businesses and are ready to be transferred.

Furthermore, as part of the event, opening and closing ceremonies of the ‘Technological Supply-Demand Links and Its Performance’ programme will also take place in the city.

A total of over 500 technological applications, and science and technological products, will be also represented at the event.

To date, around 70 stands from domestic and foreign science and technology application centres have registered to participate in the event.

Addressing a meeting on Monday with the event’s organisers, municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh asked for help from the Vietnamese Ministry of Science and Technology to facilitate Da Nang to successfully hold scientific and technological events at international and national levels.

In reply, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Van Tung remarked that the ‘2017 Technological Applications, Transfer and Innovation’ event, which is the first of its kind in Da Nang, would facilitate domestic businesses to promote science and technology applications into their production activities.  He, therefore, highlighted the significance of widely publicising the technological applications, its transfer and innovation amongst local business community.

Deputy Minster Tung promised that his Ministry would direct relevant agencies to work closely with the city authorities to ensure the success of this international event.
