Giving a helping hand to poor pupils
Over recent years, numerous study promotion activities have been implemented effectively across Ngu Hanh Son District. This has helped to give spiritual encouragement to poor pupils, as well as facilitate them to realise their dreams of learning.

The district’s Study Promotion Association has cooperated with socio-political organisations at all levels, and departments and agencies, to launch some meaningful movements, including ‘studious families’, ‘studious families’, and ‘study promotion community’.
In addition, some programmes such as ‘Giving Strength to Schooling’, ‘Giving Strength to Dreams’, ‘Le Van Hien Awards’, ‘Typical Excellent Pupils’, and ‘Poor Studious Pupils’ have honoured and rewarded hundreds of outstanding pupils, students and teachers.
Over the past 4 years, a total of over 17 billion VND has been raised by the district authorities. The donated money has gone to grant short-term and long-term scholarships to 10,520 orphans and poor studious pupils, and reward over 55,415 pupils who have gained good academic results plus Le Van Hien Awards winners.
Student Ho Tuan Viet from Hoa Vang District’s Hoa Quy Ward noted thanks to meaningful scholarships presented by the district’s Study Promotion Association, he could complete his 4 years of university at the municipal University of Science and Technology. He said he would exert every effort to help students in difficult circumstances like him in a bid to make their dreams come true.
In addition, blind student Vo Van Nhat residing in Ngu Hanh Son District’s My An Ward has frequently received scholarships from the district’s Study Promotion Association.
He emphasised the scholarships he have received were material and spiritual support gifts for him. He wanted to repay the kindness of the Association members with his best possible academic results.
Like Ho Tuan Viet and Vo Van Nhat, many other poor students across the district have received timely assistance by the Association chapters to overcome their difficulties. Most of them have graduated from universities and junior colleges and found stable jobs after graduation.
