Vietnamese team win first prize at international network security contest
AyeBeer from Viet Nam won the first prize at a freshly-concluded international online information security contest (ISITDTU CTF 2019-Finals) organised by the Da Nang-based Duy Tan University.
The second prize went to Bios from India, whilst Flux Fingers from Germany brought home the third prize at this annual international network security contest.
This year’s event saw the participation of 12 teams, 6 of which were from Viet Nam, 2 from India, only one from Germany, Ukraine, and South Korea each, and a joint team set up by Indonesia, India, and Viet Nam.
These outstanding entries had been selected from 300 teams worldwide.
In the face of global security vulnerabilities, the competition aimed at creating an intellectual and practical playground for those who are interested in the knowledge of cyber security defence.
Duy Tan is the only university in Viet Nam to have been authorised by CTF Time to hold this international online information security contest. This was the second time that the event had been held in this private educational institution.
