The Da Nang Department of Education and Training has announced that primary and secondary schools across Da Nang will reopen on 4 May, and nurseries citywide will begin reopening one week later, on 11 May after a three-month closure due to the coronavirus pandemic.  

All schools are required to be disinfected before reopening their doors. Schools across the city will strictly follow infection prevention and control measures under the Ministry of Health’s guidelines. Pupils are required to have their temperatures checked, to clean their hands before entering their classrooms, and to wear face masks in their schools.

Also, parking space will be rearranged to make sure that parents maintain a safe distance from others when they pick up/drop off their children at schools.

The expected finish date for the 2019-20 school year in Da Nang is not later than 15 July.
