The Vietnam Online Hackathon 2020, which will take ‘Digital transformation’ as its theme, will run from 11 - 24 May, and it is open to all entrants nationwide.

The online event is co-organised by the Google Developers Group (GDG) Mien Trung, the Da Nang Entrepreneurship Support (DNES) and some GDGs across the country.

Under the competition’s rule, contestants will create applications or websites that can respond quickly and adapt continuously to changing requirements of small and medium-sized enterprises in support of digital transformation during Covid-19 outbreak and in the post-Covid-19 future.

Anyone wanting to compete in the contest can register at https://vnhackathon.com/ from now until 10 May.

The 50 most outstanding projects will be selected to participate in the Hackathon Week which is slated to take place between 15 and 21 May. These project developers will be required to perfect their pitches with the help of mentors.

Ten finalists will vie for the Demo Day which will be livestreamed, with no live audience, on 24 May.

Winners will receive a combination of cash and in-kind prizes. In addition, the best teams will receive active supports from startup mentors and consultants to develop their ideas into startup projects.
